Bode George

A chieftain of Nigeria’s opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George has said he will renounce his Nigerian citizenship should former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu become president of the country in 2023.

Mr George stated this on Wednesday when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show and noted that Mr Tinubu, a national leader of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has no certificate to run for the office.

He was responding to claims by Adeseye Ogunlewe, a former Nigerian Minister of Works who also told ARISE News that there’s no better candidate to lead the country in 2023 than the former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu.
